Dr. Nacona Bunker is a licensed clinical psychologist and pediatric neuropsychologist who is passionate about helping children, teens, and young adults better understand how their brains work so they can thrive at home, in school, and beyond. She believes in providing compassionate, comprehensive care that honors each child’s unique strengths and challenges.
Dr. Bunker specializes in neuropsychological evaluations that support children with ADHD, learning differences, giftedness, and complex medical conditions. She works closely with families, schools, and healthcare providers to ensure that each evaluation leads to practical, individualized recommendations that support optimal outcomes at home, in school, and in treatment settings. With a strong foundation in clinical assessment, medical complexity, and interdisciplinary collaboration, Dr. Bunker’s work is rooted in compassion, precision, and advocacy for brain health.
Her training includes specialized work with children diagnosed with epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, spina bifida, and other chronic medical conditions at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, as well as fellowship training in sports-related concussion at the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she also contributed to research on recovery outcomes in youth and professional athletes. She also gained experience in psychotherapy, substance use treatment, and DBT-based interventions through her practicum work.
Dr. Bunker is known for her approachable style, clear communication, and thoughtful assessments that provide families with answers and direction.
